Kiwi, made from renewable timbers from sustainably managed forests and New Zealand Paua.
Hand carved New Zealand Kiwi. The Kiwi is a flightless nocturnal bird native to New Zealand, and has become the national symbol for New Zealand. It is known for its long peak, hair-like feathers and retiring nature. Māori traditionally believe Kiwi to be under the protection of Tane Mahuta, god of the forest. Kiwi feathers are particularly important to the Māori for their use in ceremonial cloaks.
