Rewarewa is also known as the New Zealand Honeysuckle. A very dark reddish coloured honey with a stronger bush flavour, excellent on toast or as a versatile culinary ingredient. Suggestions: - Rewarewa honey is naturally low in diastase enzymes compared to other honeys, a good candidate to try in your bread making. - Excellent as a glaze for meat, especially pork dishes. - Try it when caramelising vegetables such as carrots, or for honey soy marinades.
